What We Offer
How Working Together Works
Every project at Sheridan Design-Build begins with clarity.
I lead residential transformations from initial idea through finished construction, holding the vision, the details, and the process so clients don’t have to manage complexity themselves. My role is to design thoughtfully, plan realistically, and execute carefully- using trusted subcontractors and a design-led approach throughout the entire process.
Projects are collaborative, deliberate, and grounded in how you feel your home is actually supposed to be lived in.
What Sets Us Apart
You already know what feels beautiful, what feels comforting, what feels inviting, and what feels alive, even if you’ve not yet had the chance to bring those instincts fully forward in your home. But we trust your vision, and our role is to help clarify your dreams and bring them to life. We may guide, shape, and build around you, but the signature, the personality, and the spark all come from within you. We’re simply here to bring it out.
So what truly sets us apart isn’t actually our vision at all: It’s yours. And we can’t wait to help you uncover it!
Design
Design is where the work truly begins.
This phase focuses on understanding how you live, what feels off in your current space, and what would make your home feel more settled, functional, and personal. Rather than chasing trends, design decisions are guided by proportion, flow, and long-term livability.
Design services may include:
• Spatial planning and layout refinement
• Kitchen, cabinetry, and built-in design
• Finish and material selection
• Aesthetic direction and decision guidance
A strong design phase creates alignment early and prevents costly revisions later.
Preconstruction
Preconstruction translates your design into a clear, buildable plan.
This phase protects both the client and the project by establishing realistic expectations around scope, budget, timeline, and sequencing before construction begins.
Preconstruction services may include:
• Scope definition and feasibility review
• Budget development and allowances
• Trade coordination and preliminary scheduling
• Identification of potential constraints or risks
By resolving unknowns upfront, the build phase can move forward calmly and efficiently.
Build Leadership
During construction, I serve as the single point of accountability.
I manage permits, coordinate licensed subcontractors, oversee quality, and ensure that the finished work aligns with the original design intent. Clients receive consistent communication and clear decision points, without needing to manage trades or troubleshoot issues themselves.
Build leadership includes:
• Permit coordination and compliance
• Subcontractor management
• On-site quality control and inspections
• Ongoing communication and problem-solving
The goal is not just a beautiful result, but a process that feels easeful from start to finish.
Custom Work (When It Matters)
Custom cabinetry and bespoke elements are incorporated selectively — only when they meaningfully enhance function, flow, or cohesion.
These pieces are designed to feel integral rather than ornamental, supporting daily life while giving spaces depth and purpose.
Custom work may include:
• Bespoke cabinetry and built-ins
• Unique storage solutions for small or hard-to-use spaces
• One-of-a-kind handmade furniture designed specifically for your home
• Creative problem-solving when conventional solutions won’t do.
